I've been experimenting with different pre-workout nutrition strategies lately. What do you guys find most effective in terms of fueling your workouts? Any specific foods or supplements that give you that extra boost?

I've found that a combination of complex carbs and a moderate amount of protein about 1-2 hours before my workout works wonders. Sometimes, I throw in a small amount of caffeine for that added alertness. What about you?
