Rectus Femoris strain

I think I strained my rectus femoris muscle during my leg press session today. I felt a slight pain at the bottom of one of my reps, and after the workout, I noticed the strain.

It's a bit tender when I touch it, and flexing my quad hurts. It's not too much pain, but it's definitely there. The pain is on the upper front part of my quad, which makes me think it's the rectus femoris.

Do you know how long it usually takes to recover from something like this? Has anyone else experienced this?

I faced a similar issue before. Based on my experience, I suggest waiting until the pain subsides. It took me around two weeks to feel better, but I made the mistake of initially ignoring the pain and carrying on.
If you wait right from the start, the discomfort should fade within 5 to 7 days. If it persists, it's best to see a doctor.
