Help with first purchase of a rookie

I'm about to make my first cryptocurrency purchase and I've decided to go with BNB since it's the lowest I can buy through the Coinbase wallet on my Android phone. Any advice or things I should keep in mind?

You can purchase ETH or BTC through another service without dealing with all the complications of Coinbase. Also, when you buy a coin via Coinbase, it's not really yours. They still have the ability to close or freeze your account.

Look into a few altcoin projects if you want to make a decent profit this bullrun. And just hodl for a year.
