How did you finally lose weight and see results?

What exercises did you do, and what was your meal plan like? I'm a 27-year-old guy, 170cm tall, weighing 79kg. I'm aiming small, trying to get to 70kg. On average, I do 7000 steps a day and have started a weightlifting workout plan. I also do intermittent fasting from 9 pm to 1 pm, with my first meal at 1pm, five days a week. I've been at it for two weeks but haven't seen any results yet. Staying motivated has been tough, especially without seeing progress. On weekends, I relax a bit with my partner and don't worry about what I eat for a day. However, I feel guilty and worry I'm undoing my progress. Any tips would be appreciated!

Tracked my meals honestly, started weighing daily, and paid attention to patterns of fluctuations. Stopped giving up and accepted it's a long and slow process. Enjoy your day off with your partner. There's no reason to feel guilty. Even if the scale tips up, it's temporary, and in a few weeks, you won't remember it.

Weightlifting, walking, tracking calories in, calories out (CICO) while accurately weighing food (not just going by the serving size on the container), and aiming to drink at least 3 liters of water a day.

If you count calories, you can still enjoy many of the foods you want; you just have to budget for them.

Counting calories (I tried mindful eating but it didn't work; I really needed to count everything going in) and walking, a lot.

Make sure your weight plan includes progression. Learn to track the calories in your food to understand where you stand. Be careful about using food as a reward for positive actions like weight lifting. For example, avoid eating a power bar after a workout or drinking sugary drinks.

Eat fewer calories than you burn. Your post doesn't mention this.

Cheat meals can easily undo a week's worth of progress.
