How do you choose how much more weight you want to lose?

I've lost 15 pounds in the past year and maintained it. I started at 140 pounds and now weigh around 125 pounds. My initial goal weight was 130, which I achieved, and I'm now considering losing 5 more pounds to reach 120. However, it's been challenging. I've been eating more fruits and vegetables and following a balanced diet. I'm unsure if I should make the effort to lose the last 5 pounds or leave it as it is.

Can you maintain your weight at 120 pounds sustainably? Losing 5 pounds may not be a huge challenge, but keeping that weight off while enjoying life could be.

I lost the last 5 pounds too! People often don't understand this... they think 5 pounds is nothing, but those last few are the hardest. It took me about 3-4 months to lose the last 3 pounds. It's insane! I'm not trying to starve myself because I enjoy eating a big meal, mainly of proteins and veggies. I even cut back on coffee, for goodness' sakes!

It changes. You might discover that you actually need to do a recomp or gain muscle to achieve that toned definition once you've lost the weight. Check BMI charts and aim for the green zone. I broke through my 18-month plateau by not eating anything after my evening meal. Almost 4 kg have been lost since Christmas.

For me personally, I prefer my maintenance calories to be 2000 or more. Anything under that is a no for me. With my activity level, my goal weight for maintenance comes to 2,289, and that's perfect for me!
