I've find cycling your training...so for like 2 months I'll train 5 to 6 days a week...then I back off and probably hit a 3 to 4 day split...but again it depends on a variety of factors like volume sets and reps then weight and intensity...whether you're in a growing phase or cutting phase...Ive found when trimming down raising the amount of days you train and upping your volume of sets and reps while keeping the Weight at about 65 to 75% of your max with repetitions ranging between 15 and and 10...then when your in a growth phase increasing the weight to 80 to 85% of your max 10 to 6 rep range...less volume...heavier weight...more rest. That's how I do it. Naturally diet and calories follow suit aswell depending on whatever phase your in.
