I've recently chosen to begin a 3-day water fast and I'm curious about its actual benefits. How does it help our body and brain? I'd love to hear real-life stories from people who have tried water fasting.

The main benefit of fasting is said to be increased autophagy, although it's unclear if this is actually beneficial. It can also help reduce blood sugar in type 2 diabetics, but I wouldn't suggest that diabetics fast for three days due to the risk of hypoglycemic shock.
