Occasionally eating under 1200?

Hi everyone! I'm grateful for this forum, it's been very helpful. Most of the time, I have no trouble eating my daily calorie goal, and a few days a week I go slightly over. However, once in a while, I realize I wasn't hungry that day. It's almost 10 pm, and I've only eaten about 900 calories. I'm not hungry. Should I eat something or just let it go today?

What's important is your overall intake over weeks and months, not specific days. You could fast for entire days if you wish, as long as your weekly intake equals 8400 calories or more, then you're good.

That's right. The only way to know is to track everything you eat, especially hidden calories like oil, butter, and other fatty ingredients used for cooking.
