I've observed a growing trend among gym enthusiasts and nutritionists where they're incorporating honey into many of their meals, including meat and veggies. I'm curious if there are any health benefits to this practice and if there's a particular type of honey that works best.

Just to add to carbs and flavor to their restrictive diet

Honey doesn't raise my blood sugar levels. I found this out when I had to check for gestational diabetes by tracking my blood sugar for two weeks. I ate honey every day with yogurt and it never caused a spike in my blood sugar! Natural honey is good in moderation and has many benefits. I don't understand why some people are adding it to steak, like the gym enthusiasts. I saw a YouTuber my son watches (Adventure Agents) add honey to their steaks. LOL. Personally, I prefer my steak to be purely savory.

I enjoy hot honey drizzled on pepperoni pizza, but I'm not interested in trying it with anything else.

Raw honey is superior to pasteurized honey bought from stores. Heating destroys many of the beneficial antioxidants present in honey.

Honey doesn't cause my blood sugar levels to spike, which can leave me feeling tired or fatigued, unlike regular sugar and its substitutes. Maybe that's why they prefer it.
