Should I use a 5/8-inch needle?

When it comes to injections, I'm not sure if I should use a 5/8-inch needle or a 1-inch needle. Is it safe to use a 5/8-inch needle? Can you help me decide?

Depends when ur injecting. 5/8inch would be fine for delts/chest/triceps. If you're injecting in glute, I'd opt for 1inch plus

What are you injecting? Do you have a high body fat percentage?

I inject in my delts and glutes using a 1-inch needle without any problems, and I'm fairly lean. Maybe try using a 1-inch needle and leave it slightly out if you're injecting in a shallow spot.

A 5/8 needle is suitable for intramuscular (IM) injections if you're quite lean or have little fat above the injection site. For subcutaneous injections, you can use a smaller needle.
