Weight loss in arms but not belly ?

Hey everyone, I'm currently losing weight by eating fewer calories and exercising more. I've gone from 18st to 16.5st, but I'm struggling to get past the 105kg mark. My clothes are getting baggy, so I know I'm losing weight, but it seems to be coming off my arms, wrists, and shoulders. I've also lost weight around my hips, but my belly is still big. Will it eventually go, or do I need to do something specific to lose weight there?

The fat around your belly is often the toughest to lose because it's usually where fat is most concentrated. It's the last to go, so be patient!

Unfortunately, we can't pick where fat is lost from. Typically, the areas where we want to lose fat are the last to slim down.

For women, it's common to lose weight from the upper body first. And for both men and women, if your body tends to store fat in the belly, that area will likely be the last to slim down. Most of us don't have perfect fat distribution, so some areas may stay fuller than we'd like.

Building muscle can help improve your overall body shape, but spot reducing fat isn't possible.

I'm experiencing the same thing right now. It's surprising how much slimmer everything looks, except for my abdomen. I'm hoping that if I stick to my plan, it will eventually slim down and even out. I've heard that the places where you first gain weight are usually the last to lose it.

It sounds like you're making great progress with your weight loss! It's common for weight loss to be uneven, especially with stubborn areas like the belly. I had a similar issue where I saw noticeable changes in my arms and legs, but my belly was slow to follow. Adding some targeted core exercises really helped, though results took time. I also used supplements from fitnflexed.com that helped with overall body composition. Remember, consistency is key, and sometimes those stubborn areas catch up eventually. Keep up the good work and stay patient!
