Do you need electrolytes? If you haven't just completed an intense workout, then no. Too many electrolytes can cause issues, just like not having enough can.

It's the artificial sugar. It becomes worse as you age. I can't consume any sugar-free products because of the artificial sweeteners. Even the 'natural' ones like stevia have the same effect on me. Monk fruit hasn't caused any issues yet, but I don't think it tastes very good. Because of this, I avoid eating or drinking anything sweetened."

It might not be the electrolytes, but rather the other ingredients. It could be the coloring, flavoring, or sweeteners used.
