I've been on a diet for 6 weeks. I started at 199 pounds and now I'm down to 187 this morning. I find it hard to see a difference. I don't feel my pants or shirts fitting differently. I do feel better overall, but I think it's mostly in my head because I see the number going down. Today, a coworker said my waist looked "tiny." Last week, another coworker, who I rarely see, told me I look smaller. It almost makes me want to cry knowing that people are noticing. I wish I could see it for myself, but I'm feeling hopeful for the future :)

Losing 12 pounds in six weeks is impressive. You're doing fantastic. I've been losing weight for a longer time, and there are days when I think, "This is terrible, I look exactly the same as when I started," and then there are days when I'll see myself in the mirror and think, "Whoa. That IS different." It definitely takes our eyes longer to notice changes. Great job :)

That's great! Keep it up, and you'll start to notice the changes that others are already seeing.

It's truly one of the best feelings ever when someone else acknowledges the effort you've been making :)
